An April news update

We have a lot of headlines from the past few weeks so I thought I’d do a quick update for everyone missing out.

• Olivia Rodrigo started then stopped giving out birth control at her concerts getting attacked from both sides about the decisions

• LE SSERAFIM performed both weeks at Coachella getting both positive and negative reactions both times but either way, showing they can do a live show and fill out the stage both times

• NewJeans execs are currently in a power struggle in what can only be described as something out of Succession or a K-Drama and the group’s future is all but up in the air currently

• The world of child acting has been put on blast after a documentary about it has shown everyone a look behind the scenes, detailing many horrific things that have happened in the industry

• Beyonce and Taylor Swift have both dropped new albums getting critical praise and once again redefining the music industry

• Layoffs and CEO pay raises seem to continue going hand in hand in 2024, along with saturation in job seekers and jobs which continues to confuse economists

• TikTok bans continue to make it further through the government with officials continuously flip-flopping on whether they would enact a ban on the world’s most popular social platform for short-form video
